The Mended Heart is a textiles shop in Orgolash, which caters to active-wear enthusiasts (adventurers and wannabes). It carries exotic fabrics from Tula (not the finest grade), and features some of Edane’s mother’s embroidery.

They use cloth dolls and sketches on paper to provide design examples, and theses have quickly segued into sketches and dolls of the popular characters in current plays.

The shop is a two-story building of wattle-and-daub with exposed timbers and open, shuttered windows, with apartments above for the two clerks who run the establishment. A room in the back is set up as a teleport venue, and is locked and warded.

Clerks

• Arno Anders Collstrop (human male Wiz 1/ exp 2): though trained as a wizard, Arno realized he did not have the stomach for danger (or deep pockets) to excel in the arcane arts. Doing civilian work for an adventuring company allows him to dabble in magic without putting himself in much danger.
• Shyler Symons MacSimmons (human male Exp 2): Shyler is a sensitive, though lacking the raw talent to be a sorcerer, the flair of a bard, or the probing intellect of a wizard. He is the business sense behind the shop, and is determined to prove himself. The shop may be an incidental investment for Edane, but for Shyler it’s a way to prove his value.

Teleport Room:

The back room is a teleport site for the Windless Ring. It has a bench, mirror, and lantern with continual flame. One wall is painted with a decorative motif, in which the party has embedded arcane marks. There is a string inside the room, attached to a bell on the outside.

Arcane marks: Edane, Gux, Oervind

Security measures: the room has no windows, and a single good door is locked with a conventional kick (good quality) and an arcane lock keyed to a traced symbol (a Draconic abbreviation for Windless Ring).
