History from the founding of Viridistan until the founding of the City State of the Invincible Overlord. This history is available for research by Sages and scholars, but there are many holes in the historical record. Events noted below are believed to have happened during this period, but there is much disagreement about dates. The order below is probably accurate.

• City of Viridistan is founded by Armadad Bog and other gods
• City of Valon founded by wizard-priests of Aram Kor
• City of Tarantis founded near ruins of a great city of ancient Kelnore
• The Holy Cities achieve independence from Viridistan
• Tula founded

Basic and uncommon knowledge from the Imperial period is considered obscure or worse in the Distant period (starting DC 20+). Most scholars of Imperial history started studying later periods, and let their curiosity lure them back to the oldest well-documented period of history.

This is the oldest period where recognizable powers of the modern day can be found: Viridistan, Valon, Tarantis, and Tula all stand today, and scholars widely agree on the authenticity of at least some of their origin tales and artifacts.
